Temporary visas and permits

Do I need a visitor visa or an eTA to travel to Canada?

Most travellers need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. The document you need depends on your nationality, travel document and how you travel. Check IRCC’s entry requirements, including when you are only transiting through Canada.

Can you guarantee application approval?

No. The relevant immigration authorities make the final decision. Sunalini helps you prepare your application and address potential issues, but cannot guarantee approval.

How long does the application process take?

Processing time depends on the application type and your circumstances. IRCC’s published times are estimates, rather than a guaranteed decision date.

Is a study or work permit a visa?

No. A study or work permit is not a visa. In most cases, you also need a valid visitor visa or eTA to enter Canada.

Where can I check processing times?

Check IRCC’s processing-time tool for current estimates for your application type. Actual processing times can vary.

More questions

Why do you charge a consultation fee?

A consultation gives me time to understand your circumstances, answer your questions and discuss the options that may apply to you. The fee covers that dedicated time and professional advice.

Why should I move to Canada?

Moving to Canada is a personal decision. Education, work opportunities and a multicultural environment may be part of your reasons. The right choice depends on your own goals and circumstances.
