NestedBird Immigration Inc. is a Canadian registered company operated by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, providing immigration guidance and support to clients in Canada and around the world. Our website is nestedbird.com.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the information entered in the comment form, your IP address and information about your browser to help detect spam.

An anonymized version of your email address, known as a hash, may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you use that service. See Automattic’s privacy policy for details. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside it.

Uploaded images

If you upload an image, avoid including embedded location data, such as EXIF GPS information. Other visitors may be able to download the image and extract that information.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so you do not need to enter them again for your next comment. These cookies last for one year.

When you visit the login page, a temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

When you log in, cookies store your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and display preference cookies last for one year. Choosing “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, a cookie records the article’s post ID. It contains no personal data and expires after one day.

Content embedded from other websites

Articles may include embedded videos, images or other content. This content behaves as though you had visited the website it comes from.

Those websites may collect information about you, use cookies, include third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. This may include tracking linked to an account you hold with that website while you are logged in.

Password reset emails

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

How long information is kept

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically rather than held for moderation.

If you register for a website account, we store the personal information in your profile. You can view, edit or delete that information, except your username. Website administrators can also view and edit it.

Requests about your personal information

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an export of the personal information we hold about you, including information you supplied. You can also request its deletion. Information that must be kept for administrative, legal or security purposes is excluded from deletion.

Spam detection

Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
